IMPORTANT - Day-light Saving ("Summer Time / Winter Time")

As this unit is manufactured in Europe, a 1 hour day-light saving function is set as default . This is indicated by the "sun" or "snow" symbol on the display depending on summer or winter time. For South African conditions, this function needs to be de-activated.

Follow these steps:

1. Press "PRG" key for about 5 seconds to activate advanced programming mode. The display will show the word "Hour" and the "sun" & "snow" symbol.

2. The words "ON" will flash. Press "1" or "2" key to toggle day-light saving ON or OFF.

3. To exit the advanced programming and return to normal operation, press the "CLOCK" key.

NB: If the unit is "RESET", whether partial or total, day-light saving will be activated and the above procedure must be done again.
